The Wrasse or in this case the Ballan Wrasse is a colourful fish ranging red orange through olive browns to bright green in colour and is a common if not well-known fish around our coast in Summertime. This small fish, weighing a few pounds at most, builds underwater “nests” for its eggs. The females often become Males to protect the nest and can even change back to female!
